Prayer Warriors: Approach God Boldly
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. –Hebrews 4:16
This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.- Ephesians 3:11-12
As Christians, we are children of God. And as His children, He wants us to come talk to Him with confidence. This message was clear at Toronto WIC’s Festival Day which featured three women as guest speakers, each living now in Canada, with strong roots in Zimbabwe. As struggles in Zimbabwe were carefully and tenderly described, the power of prayer was never far away. Women all over Zimbabwe are prayer warriors, we were told. And they will continue to pray for God is good.
What a powerful privilege – to be able to talk to God! Think about how long it takes to get one single audience or meeting with the Queen of England or the Prime Minister. Sometimes it can be months or even years of red tape to spend a few minutes in their presence. Yet, the Creator of the Universe delights to have us call Him Father. In addition, our Heavenly Father wants us to spend time with Him every single day.
