Prayer: Come, Lord Jesus! Open our hearts while we wait for you to be born anew in our lives. Pray for those getting ready for the World Day of Prayer in their communities. Send an encouraging email to someone. Pray for the programs that churches support.

Send a Christmas card to someone who might be feeling blue. Buy or make a scarf for a homeless person. Pray for England (a 2022 World Day of Prayer country). Pray for women experiencing violence at home. Give thanks to God for nature and its healing properties. Meditate on justice.

Check in on a senior. Choose 2 or 3 non-perishable food items to donate to a local food bank Pray for people experiencing violence in their country “Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in honouring each other.” Romans 12:10 Pray for Northern Ireland (a 2022 World Day of Prayer country). Pray for peace for countries experiencing unrest. Rake leaves or shovel snow for someone.

Pray for all the volunteers preparing food for the hungry. Pray for Wales (a 2022 World Day of Prayer country). Sing your favourite Christmas carol. Pray for all who are without homes. “And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger…” Luke 2:7a
