YMCA Kamloops
Art can be one of the most powerful healers. With their grant money, YMCA Kamloops spent a majority the money on art supplies for women and children in their programs. Art materials can be expensive and this program takes away that financial barrier. It has proved to be one of the most successful and appreciated of their programs for both the women and the children. The art programs have given them a way to express their trauma and also communicate a sense of worth and value.
