Fundraising 2022

WICC Women's Inter-Church Council of CanadaWOMEN’S INTER-CHURCH COUNCIL OF CANADA

Dear Friend of WICC,

We are praying that you and your family are well in this prolonged pandemic and troubled times. In the midst of uncertainties under which we are living, the World Day of Prayer emerges each year like a balm of hope with an invitation to place our trust in God.

In 2022, we have received hundreds of letters letting us know that the service touched many lives across Canada. Thousands watched the virtual service produced by WICC on local tv stations or as part of a Zoom group. Some were able to meet in churches, and still others plan to meet. Please note that our World Day of Prayer – England, Wales and Northern Ireland – service video is still available on wicc.org.  Please enjoy!

COVID continued to change the way we celebrated WDP, and donations were significantly lower during this challenging year. We need some help going forward.  With immense gratitude for your past support, we humbly ask for your financial assistance in helping to produce 2023 WDP resources, planning prayer/education events to engage more people in a daily prayer movement, and funding grant projects that support women and children affected by domestic abuse, poverty, food shortages, human trafficking, and racism.

If you are able, please donate online: http://wicc.org/donate-online/.  You can also send a cheque to

WICC, 47 Queen’s Park Cres East, Toronto, Ontario M5S 2C3.

If you have already sent WICC a donation for WDP 2022 – thank you!

Coming on September 20th will be a Peace Prayer Zoom event to address gender-based violence.  For details, please check GET INVOLVED on wicc.org in August.

We are thankful for God’s presence and know that our prayers are heard. If you have any questions, please call the WICC office (416.929.5184) or email wicc@wicc.org.

Blessings,

Rev. Steph McClellan, WICC President
